Gallivanting in Green—Happy Friday humans!
Let me tell you, I am so looking forward to the weekend after this week—it’s genuinely hard to believe that this work week only consisted of four days. Between a bunch of deadlines for my graphic design position and a busy week bartending, I am mentally + physically exhausted. BUT…not too tired to throw together this end of summer look! As a full-time resident of the Cape, the best part of summer is toward the end. This is when all of the visitors are packing up their cars and heading back over that bridge. Cape residents reclaim the summer in September and early October when the weather is still glorious but the streets are less congested.
Olive greens are one of my go-to shades for transitioning from summer to fall. Even though a darker shade, the color still has that naturalist element to it that reminds you of humid temperatures. They can be used as neutrals or as more statement pieces when you combine them with a pattern, such as the Forever 21 frock that I’m donning in this look. Unfortunately this dress is sold out or out of stock from the F21 website, but I made sure to link up some similar pieces below – some greens, some polka dots, all perfect to wear while saying goodbye to summer and hello to my favorite season.
Even though I no longer have a “back to school” period (silently weeps), I still always think of fall as a time to reimagine your style and refresh your wardrobe. More to come on this on the blog in the next few weeks!
